Community Agreement (Terms of Service)
Our goal is to build a fair and fun platform for good. This agreement outlines our promises to you and your promises to the community.
Our Promise to You:
- We promise to run the prize draws fairly and on schedule.
- We promise to transparently report all financial activity on our "Where the Money Goes" page.
- We promise to distribute 100% of the designated prize and donation funds to the rightful winners.
- We promise to act as responsible stewards of this platform and its mission.
Your Promise to the Community:
- You promise to participate in good faith and not to use bots, scripts, or other means to cheat the system.
- You promise to be respectful in any community interactions.
- You understand that this is a platform for supporting causes, and you participate with that spirit in mind.
How the Game Works:
This is a prize-linked savings platform, not a traditional casino. The majority of funds are used for community benefit. The rules for winning, prize amounts, and donation calculations are publicly available on our "Where the Money Goes" and "About" pages.
Here is a detailed breakdown of how funds flow through our ecosystem:
-
Fund Allocation: For every dollar that enters the platform through token purchases, it is transparently divided as follows:
- 35% goes into the Player Prize Pool for the current weekly cycle.
- 35% goes into the Community Donation Pool for the current weekly cycle.
- 20% goes into the Operations & Development Fund.
- 10% goes into the Stripe Fees & Float Fund to cover transaction costs.
-
The Weekly Prize Draw:
- Player Prizes: At the end of each prize cycle, three winning players are selected via a weighted raffle, where every token a player holds is one "ticket." The Player Prize Pool is distributed to the winners (50% for 1st, 30% for 2nd, 20% for 3rd).
- Community Donations: The Community Donation Pool is split between two causes: Land Trusts and Agriculture. The proportion of the pool each cause receives is determined by the number of tokens players lost while playing for that cause during the cycle. A winning state is then selected for each cause via a weighted raffle (based on tokens lost in each state). Finally, a winning organization is randomly selected from the approved partners in that state. If no approved organization exists for a winning state, the funds for that cause will "roll over" and be added to that cause's prize pool for the next cycle.
- Payouts: All cash prizes for winning players and donations for winning organizations will be securely distributed via Stripe.
- Governance and Stewardship: This is a mission-driven project. While we are not yet a formal non-profit, that is our ultimate goal. The Operations and Float funds are used to cover the direct costs of running the platform (payment processing, hosting, etc.). Any funds in excess of our operational needs will be managed transparently and reinvested back into the community—by funding new causes, hiring developers to improve the platform, or adding them back to the prize pools—based on feedback from our users and partners.
These rules are subject to change as we grow and improve the platform, and we will always notify the community of any changes.
